The Hurricane Hunters (THH), formed by Tommy MacLuckie (Grayson Capps And The Stumpknockers, OzzyCash) in 1999 in New Orleans, LA and named after the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron from Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, are a three piece rock’n’roll band that also includes 2 ex-members of OzzyCash.
In 2016 THH released an EP called STORM SURGE on their own record label, Counter Clockwise Records.
June 1, 2021 a single, Need A Lover, an edited version of the EP track, will be released.
When MacLuckie was busy touring and recording with Grayson Capps, THH had limited time. They played at Tipitina's, Lounge Lizards and two other venues no one can remember the name of in New Orleans, as well as Ruby’s, The Beach House and the Dew Drop in Mandeville, LA.
They will be recording new material this summer for singles and an LP and are currently in the process of booking shows for mid-to-late summer onward in SE LA as well as MS and AL.
